Hi,

I have been thinking about the next steps to take with regards to the GUI.
As you might have noticed, Agenda is a new feature that you can find in the
outline activity's option menu. Personally, I use this feature a lot, so I
was thinking about how to make it more prominent in the UI. I'm aware that
some people are having issues with it and will try to resolve them soon.

I was thinking something along the lines of the "Play Store" app. My idea
is to have a minimal tabbar in the outline and being able to swipe left and
right to change between it and the agenda. I was also thinking about adding
a list that displays all active edits to be synchronized, so that we can
trust MobileOrg to create the proper edit nodes. This would make it
convenient to reach those features.

While restructuring the interface in this way, it would be easy to add
better support for tablet layouts. I was thinking that the screen could be
split vertically in landscape mode, to allow outline on the left and agenda
on the right.

How do you think the interface should look?

Henning

There's only two things I really care about, besides from the now mostly working calendar sync: a more or less readable todo list (one of my agenda views) and the ability to tick off finished todo activities.

The current layout looks a bit cluttered, and I'd prefer a more native look as well as not having to navigate a hierarchy to reach my todo list. Astrid, Gtasks, or Any.Do all look mostly fine to me (though the only one of them I've actually used is Astrid), and so does the iPhone version of MobileOrg (if you're on an iPhone of course). In other words: I think I'd agree with your UI proposal, if I've understood it correctly.

I tried out the Agenda option today after reading your email, but I still have no idea of what it does. It's just an empty black screen on my phone.
