smb access for synchronisation

Hi

I was wondering it is somehow possible to sync to an smb folder from a non-rooted
android tablet.

the setup is the following

Desktop Sync to permanently mounted SMB Folder (SMB folder = USB Stick connectd
to my router / router cannot have sshd running)

so I thought if I can somehow mount the SMB Folder on the Android system, I
could do a sync with "my SD-CARD", but I don't know if it is possible to mount
the SMB folder.

if you have any other ideas on how to solve this, please let me know.

You could use something like rsync to keep two directories in sync?

I was also thinking about something like that, but as far as I know rsync is
one way only. On standard Desktops (Linux/MacOS/Windows) there is unison, which
is great as it allows to merge files as well, but there is no android port, and
even if there was one, I would still be stuck with the problem of easily
mounting and unmounting the smb directory.
